Review: Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar (#08 Neon Yellow)

Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar (#08 Neon Yellow) (7g)
There are 9 different colors in total. 6 of them are fruity scented and the other 3 are mild, natural scented (pretty much scent-less to me actually...).
And I got mine in #08 Neon Yellow.

More information about the Petite Bunny Gloss Bar~:

Description:

Directions: Twist-up to about 3~5mm and lightly apply to lips.

It comes in a retractable stick. The bottom of the stick is twistable so you can twist the bottom to get more product.
Note: Don't twist up too much product because once the product got twisted out, it can't be twisted back into the stick. You have to push it back instead. -_-

Consistency & Color:
Although it says it's a gloss bar, I find it like more towards a balm, like a tinted lip balm. It's not as balmy as Nivea lip balm though. It leaves a slight glossy look but it's not as glossy as a lip gloss or a lip balm. The color of #08 is pretty interesting! It's yellow in the tube but when apply on lips, it turns into a very lovely shade of pink. The color is pretty sheer(low pigmentation) and can be built up but only slightly.

Here are the swatches:
The color is very sheer however, it is buildable. You can compared the color of 1 swipe with the color of 4 swipes.

Scent:
It's very, very mild and natural scent. Not much fragrance actually...

Moisturizing Power:
I find it not as moisturizing as Nivea lip balm. If you have dried and chapped lips like I do, few hours after application, the color kind of runs into the cracks and makes the dried and chapped lips looks more obvious. That's what happened to me so what I usually do is that I will put on a layer of Nivea lip balm on my lips prior to application of this Petite Bunny Gloss Bar. On a positive note, it's not very drying like a lipstick. The moisturizing level is somewhere in between a lipstick and a lip balm.

Staying Power:
The color does lasts except if you eat or drink. Yes, it does comes off pretty easily when you eat or drink. I usually have to re-apply it after eating or drinking.

Likes:
- 2-in-1, lip balm + tint formula = tinted lip balm
- the color! *gorgeous*
- color is sheer and build-able
- the adorable packaging!
- light, natural scent
- not very drying like a lipstick
- easy to glide on lips
- portable and lightweight
- not sticky

Dislikes:
- lousy twistable function; once the product got twisted-up, it can't be twisted back into the stick!
- not as glossy as Nivea lip balm or a lip gloss
- emphasizes on dried and chapped lips

Neutral:
- moisturizes but not as moisturizing as Nivea lip balm
- color does comes off easily when eating or drinking

Verdict: So, I got the #08 Neon Yellow mainly because it doesn't have too much scent. I actually hate sweet fruity scented lips product. I prefer a mild and natural scented or scent-less lips product~~ Currently, this is one of my favorite lips product. The color is not too bold and it gives a soft natural look which is why I like it so much! Even though it's not as moisturizing as I would like it to be, by applying a layer of Nivea lip balm prior to application of this gloss bar will fix the problem.

People who like a soft and sheer natural looking lip color, you might want to give this a try.

2013 Aug-Oct Skin Care/Beauty/Misc. Haul

~Skin Care/Beauty/Misc. Haul~
Well, it's been quite awhile since I last did a Haul of the Month post. I don't know if anyone likes to read such post... Anyway, I will just continue....................

Over the past few months, I purchased quite a number of stuff. I did not take any pictures of the items and to be honest, I long forgotten what I have bought(most of it) thus, it would be hard for me to post everything up. That being said, in this post I will just sum up what I remember buying for the past 3 months. It's not in order by date/month nor by category by the way. :)

2013 August - October Haul
I got this package yesterday and the box is too small for me to nicely show all the AC Clinic products I've bought. -.- I got almost the whole Etude House AC Clinic products except for the Red Spot Balm and BB Cream(discontinued). :

Etude House AC Clinic Daily Acne Foam Cleanser
Etude House AC Clinic Daily Toner
Etude House AC Clinic Daily Gel Lotion
Etude House AC Clinic Intense Liquid Spot
Etude House AC Clinic Intense Pink Powder Spot (comes with 15ml of Pink Powder Water)
Etude House AC Clinic Intense Hinoki Water Mist
Etude House AC Clinic Intense Mask Sheet

In fact, I actually got 2 bottles of the mist, 2 bottles of the liquid spot, 2 bottles of the toner and 2 bottles of the gel lotion. If you read my Skin Care Routine page, you will know that I switched back using these products. And I got so many AC Clinic products at one go because they were having a sale~ The manufacture date is quite recent so it was a super good deal~ A STEAL! A STEAL!

Did you notice that yellow stick on the left of the picture, placed right beside the liquid spot~? That's the...
Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar in #8 Neon Yellow
I'm thinking of getting the #09 Neon Red too..
Will do a review once I have tried it.

Some other skin care/beauty stuff I bought much earlier on...:
Etude House Baking Powder Crunch Pore Scrub
I heard a lot of raves about this product so I got them.
Review coming soon~(hopefully...)

Hiruscar Post Acne Gel
This is one of my long-lost favorite product for pimple scars & dark marks.
Review coming soon~

Etude House Eraser Show Mascara Cleaner
I have not tried using this yet because I don't wear mascara much these days... :/
Will do a review once I have tried it.

The Face Shop Freshian Big Mascara in #01 Curling
The Face Shop Freshian Big Mascara in #02 Volume
Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner in Black
The Face Shop Mascara were having a sale too~ They were having like a 1+1 promotion. I actually picked up 4 and I gave 2 to my friend. I got it at the price of SGD$4.90 for 2. The manufacture date is also quite recent~ A steal, isn't it?

On the other hand, Revlon was also having a sale~ 20% off. So I picked up one of my favorite eyeliner.

Also, I got a cleanser and many facial masks~:
Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask
The Face Shop Mini Capsule in Seaweed
The Face Shop Mini Capsule in Cucumber
The Face Shop Real Nature Mask in Mung Bean
The Face Shop Real Nature Mask in Bamboo
The Face Shop Real Nature Mask in Rice
The Face Shop Real Nature Mask in Green Tea
Etude House Baking Powder B.B Deep Cleansing Foam (Review: link)

And I got another ...
5 sheets of Etude House AC Clinic Intense Mask Sheet
much earlier on...

After trying out The Face Shop Masks, I went back to stock up even more...:
I picked up The Face Shop Real Nature Mask in Kelp to try out~
Besides that, I also got another box of
Etude House AC Clinic Intense Pink Powder Spot..

I grabbed many pieces of The Face Shop mask sheets because they were ALSO having a sale! HAHAHAA I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE SALES!

For Fragrance...,
I got the Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue perfume
I've been wanting this perfume and I finally got it. yay~

PiGi bags from Taiwan :)
I have a dresser of 6 drawers in my room where I keep all my bags and some misc. stuff and 5 out of the 6 drawers are where I keep my bags. In there, 90% of my bags were purchased from PiGi Mall. I absolutely love their brand and bags!! Visit their site herePS: It's in Chinese.

As I have said, I won't be able to post up all of the purchased items. I only post up what I could remember and just the ones I have a picture... As for clothing, I bought A LOT(in bulk) from Taiwan and it's too troublesome to show all of them so pardon me for not showing...  And apart from that, some of the pictures were taken using Iphone's camera so please excuse for the bad picture quality. :x

I hope you enjoyed my haul post and......

Have a safe and Happy Halloween everyone!
Trick or Treat?

xoxo,
Ashley.

Review: DHC Medicated Acne Care Concealer

DHC Medicated Acne Care Concealer (10g)
Conceals, smoothens and resists sebum.
Description: A long-lasting concealer that covers acne marks and skin discoloration. Contains 'Fix Polymer' that is strongly resistant to skin oil, forming a thin, snug-fitting veil that adheres to the skin.
No fragrance. No preservatives.

Comes in 2 shades - 01 Natural Ocher and 02 Natural Beige??? (?)
PS: I can't remember the name of the shade in 02.

Claims to do:
- Conceals pimples, acne scars and pigmentation
- Even out roughness
- Resists sweat and stays put
- Primes the skin for long-lasting makeup application

Ingredients list

Tested on my arm. XD
FYI, I do get zits on my arm because I always rest my arm on the table lol.
By the way, I only applied the concealer on the spot without applying any other make-up products under or above it.

Likes:
- specially for acne prone skin .aka. troubled skin
- contains SPF
- not greasy
- a little goes a long way
- does not break me out
- does conceals pimples, acne scars and pigmentation(light to medium coverage)
- does not aggravate pimples
- matte finish
- sweat-resistant .aka. sweat-proof
- easy to blend
- pretty long-lasting for me :)

Dislikes:
- there's nothing I dislike about...

I have been using this concealer for 3-4 years now and I'm still loving this concealer. I tried to change to other brands' concealer in between the years and ended up I always coming back to this. Nothing beats this concealer. :) What I like about this concealer are listed above so do refer to the 'Likes' section~

It gives a light to medium coverage. It does not cover and hide all the acne marks perfectly. I mean it does cover light pinkish, brownish color marks perfectly but it does not works well for a darker reddish, brownish acne marks. After all, it only has a light to medium coverage, not full coverage. That's my opinion...because it does not cover my dark reddish, brownish acne marks perfectly or maybe... I just don't have the skill to blend it well? lol. Anyway, if you're looking for a light to medium coverage concealer for acne prone skin, this is it! :D

Review: Bourjois Effet 3D Lip Gloss

Bourjois Effet 3D Lip Gloss (20 Rose Symphonic)
Got mine in 20 Rose Symphonic
A glamorous and shimmery pink lip gloss.

Consistency and Color:
Looks kind of gooey in the tube and on the brush but... it's not when apply on the lips! What makes me so fond of this gloss is because it's totally not sticky at all! It's easy to apply on lips and it does not dry up the lips!♥ The color is between sheer to opaque shimmery baby pink and it can be build-able.

Scent:
Mild sweet fragrance

Likes:
- not sticky!
- 8 HRS hydrate;  moisturizing, totally not drying at all!
- fine micro glitter; glossy, glittery and shimmery~
- plump up the lips
- pretty color
- color is build-able
- the applicator; easy to apply
- glides on smoothly
- the scent
- comes in a variety of shades

Dislikes:
- wear off during drinking and eating

This is the only brand of lip gloss which I like and use it quite often. I have tried other brands of lip gloss before but well, this is the only one that I find it not sticky and unlike some other lip glosses, this does not have a strong sweet or fruity fragrance. Honestly, I'm a person who don't like flavored lip gloss/lip balm but I'm fine with the scent of Bourjois lip gloss. At least, it's not overpowering.

Overall, I love this lip gloss and imma getting another shade from this brand~ There are a variety of shades to choose from so... people who likes glittery, shimmery lip gloss but dislikes sticky and strong flavored lip gloss, try this. :D

Review: Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Make-up Remover

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid(SHA) Hydrating Make-up Remover
(Net wt: 200ml)
Description: Contains advanced skin hydrating ingredient  Super Hyaluronic Acid, with twice the moisture retention capacity of Hyaluronic Acid(1gm of Hyaluronic Acid is able to hold up 6 liters of water). Replenishes essential moisture to visibly improve skin texture and prevent dryness so skin stays soft, hydrated and supple.

Claims to do:
- Gently & effectively removes all traces of make-up, dirt and impurities while preserving skin's natural moisture.
- Water based formula leaves skin clean without any greasy or tight feeling after use.
- Hydrates as it cleanses leaving skin feeling silky smooth.
Skin pH balanced. Low irritation.
- Free of fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol & colorant.

Directions: Keep your hands and face dry. Squeeze sufficient amount onto your palm, and massage directly onto your face; using gentle circular motion. Rinse thoroughly with water.

It comes in a plastic bottle with a pump and a lock tab. :D

Consistency & Color:
Liquid-y texture and translucent.

Scent:
Odorless; it's fragrance-free :)

Likes:
- water based and hyaluronic acid formula
- free of fragrances, mineral oil, colorant and alcohol
- non greasy; does not break me out :D
- non-drying
- easy to use
- no leakage from the pump after dispensing of the product :)
- less harsh; suits sensitive skin
- remove light makeup effortlessly
- remove light makeup without leaving a tight, squeaky clean feeling
- a little goes a long way~~~

Dislikes:
- does not remove waterproof make-up :(
- does not remove heavy make-up; works only for light to medium make-up.

Demonstration XDDD:
...massaging the product on the make-up swatches...

...and... rinse it off....
(ps for my hairy hand~ wheeeeeeeeee XPPP)
As seen from the pictures, it failed to remove my waterproof eyeliners. Well, it did not even completely remove my Revlon Colorstay eyeliner. :(

Overall, I still like this make-up remover because of it's hydrating purposes. :D For me, even though it does not remove all kinds of make-up but it doesn't really matter to me because I use separate make-up removers for my face and eyes. And... I don't apply heavy make-up; my make-up is always light or light to medium~ so as long as it removes all traces of my face make-up, I'm satisfied with it. :)

By the way, Hada Labo has another makeup remover which is called "Super Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Oil". It's for heavy make-up and waterproof mascara so if you are a heavy make-up person, you might want to get the cleansing oil instead of this water based remover. :)

That's that. XOXO :)

Review: Y.E.T Shinning Mirror Ball Ultra Glitter Lip Gloss

Y.E.T Shinning Mirror Ball Ultra Glitter Lip Gloss (9g)
Let's look at the packaging box~ Isn't it pretty and adorable? I really like the design printed on the packaging box~ It's full of colors which makes me feel really happy just by looking at it~ That's my first impression of the product when I first received it. :D

Moving on to the main object — the lip gloss!
The lip gloss comes in a plastic bottle tube with a black plastic twist-off cap. As you can see, the name of the product is printed on the tube as well as a doll print. I think the doll print is actually the mascot(?) of Y.E.T, okay I'm not really sure but anyway, there are 3 of them and all of them look different. Lol.

I have to say that the doll looks a little scary to me. Well, perhaps it only affect me~ Honestly, I'm really afraid of dolls. They just look creepy... -_-"

Next....,
It comes in 4 colors — #01 Chandelier, #03 Sparkling Red, #04 Flash Rose and I got it in #02 Pink Champagne.

Just like most of the lip glosses out there, it comes with a sponge applicator which makes it easy for application.

Here's the swatch~:
The color is so gorgeous with tiny glitters, I mean really tiny, and the color can be semi-sheer to intense shade if you layer it on. Yes, you can build up the color; it's buildable~ :D

Scent:
It has a strawberry scent similar to the scent of My Beauty Diary Strawberry Yogurt Mask. It smells like Strawberry Pocky too~~~

Consistency:
It's glossy without being too thick. For me, I find it quite sticky even though I only applied a thin layer... If I were to rate the stickiness between 1(not tacky) to 10(very tacky), I would probably rate it a 7 or 8? [...] On the positive side, it's easy to apply on lips.

Size:
Net weight: 9g
Lip Gloss bottle tube size: 10.8cm x 1.6cm
Convenient to carry it around because of it's portable size.

Overall Conclusion: I personally dislike strawberry. I don't eat it neither would I want to apply a gloss that has a strawberry scent on my lips. If you ask me if I will purchase other colors, I would say no because I dislike sticky lip gloss(not even a slight tackiness...) so even though I really like the color and the packaging, I would not want to purchase the rest of the colors. :( People who wouldn't mind the lip gloss scent and the consistency/texture, you can go ahead and grab this. :)

Review: Etude House Tear Drop Liner

Etude House Tear Drop Liner (#1 White Tear) 8g

Etude House Tear Drop Liner available in 4 colors:
#1 White Tear/Innocent Tear/Crystal Color
#2 Silver Tear/Opal Color
#3 Pearl Tear/Pearl Pink Color
#4 Sun Light/Bronze Color
They have a lot of different names huh? LOL. - -"

[...]

I got mine in #1
Probably you are wondering why my bottle labelled "Tear Eye Liner" instead of "Tear Drop Liner".. Well...beats me. :/ Honestly, I don't know why. But I guess it's old packaging or maybe printing error? Lol. It doesn't really matter because as long as I got it from Etude House and know that it's authentic then it's fine. It works and looks the same as "Tear Drop Liner"anyway. :)

(Apologies on the camera not focusing... -_-" I used the wrong camera to shoot this. :x Should have use DSLR instead of digital camera. Macro lens huh? lol :/ )
PS: The color of the close-up shots on the brush and swatch differ from actual product. :x

Likes:
- Sparkly and pretty
- glitter particles are very fine and not overpowering
- brightens up the eyes
- thin brush applicator which makes it easy to apply and control the thickness during application
- not tacky or sticky after dried
- easy to remove with makeup remover
- cheap

Dislikes:
- takes time or hard to dry if applied too much
- non-waterproof
- not long lasting for me because it will fade when rub (a con for me coz I like to rub my eyes lol)

I like to use this on my inner corner of my eyes and lower lash line. Overall, the shimmer and color are really pretty which is why I like it. :D

Review: The Body Shop Colorglide Shine Lip Color

The Body Shop Colorglide Shine Lip Color in (01 Cheeky Coral)
I seldom visit The Body Shop store so I don't really know about their products. When I first saw the Colorglide Lipstick from Cleo Magazine(August 2012 issue), I know I am going to get it! I keep showing the magazine page to my friends and keep telling them "Omg, this is so pretty!! I want it! I want it!" LOL. I love coral color sooooo muchhhh~ By the way, I captured a photo from the magazine for you guys. WAHAHAHAA~
From Cleo Magazine(August 2012 issue), Page 102
After a month later..(PS: need to save up $$~ lol.), I visited The Body Shop...
and yessssss~ finalllly..., I got the lipstick! By the way, it cost SGD$22.90.

Here are the swatches of the lipstick without flash(left) and with flash(right):
Isn't the color pretty? I really love it so much! The color is gorgeous!
FYI, this is my holy grail lipstick at the moment~ :D

Likes:
- comes in 6 pretty shades
- sheer colors yet it's build-able
- moisturizing and not drying
- glides on smoothly
- contains FINE gold shimmer but not overpowering
- give a beautiful gaze of shine and color to the lips
- simple, lightweight, nice, compact packaging. it's not bulky

 Dislikes:
- I can't think of any because I really love the color so much! :D

I already added in another lipstick color, which is also from The Body Shop and same line/series as well, in 02 it's called Shell Pink I think..? to my wishlist. I forgot what's the color but I remember I have a little liking to it when I was swatching and trying out the colors on the back of my palm in the store~ So yeah, it's in my wishlist now!~ :D
