Probably you are wondering why my bottle labelled "Tear Eye Liner" instead of "Tear Drop Liner".. Well...beats me. :/ Honestly, I don't know why. But I guess it's old packaging or maybe printing error? Lol. It doesn't really matter because as long as I got it from Etude House and know that it's authentic then it's fine. It works and looks the same as "Tear Drop Liner"anyway. :)

(Apologies on the camera not focusing... -_-" I used the wrong camera to shoot this. :x Should have use DSLR instead of digital camera. Macro lens huh? lol :/ )

PS: The color of the close-up shots on the brush and swatch differ from actual product. :x

Likes:
- Sparkly and pretty
- glitter particles are very fine and not overpowering
- brightens up the eyes
- thin brush applicator which makes it easy to apply and control the thickness during application
- not tacky or sticky after dried
- easy to remove with makeup remover
- cheap

Dislikes:
- takes time or hard to dry if applied too much
- non-waterproof
- not long lasting for me because it will fade when rub (a con for me coz I like to rub my eyes lol)

I like to use this on my inner corner of my eyes and lower lash line. Overall, the shimmer and color are really pretty which is why I like it. :D

Review: Holika Holika Jewel-Light Waterproof Eyeliner

It has been awhile since I last updated my blog...and I apologize for not updating for a long period of time. I have been so busy lately that I hardly had time to use the computer. (><")

Anyway, I have a lot of things such as Hauls, Favorites and Reviews to write and share about so stay tuned alright? I will try to update as often as I can... :x

For today's topic, it's all about Holika Holika Jewel-Light Waterproof Eyeliner which became part of my holy grail makeup item~☆ 

I grabbed a handful of eyeliners from Holika Holika for the past two months and honestly, I love every single of them! They are just plain awesome!

From left to right: 01 Black, 02 Black Crystal, 03 Lapis Lazuli, 04 Purple Amethyst, 05 Brown Amber, 06 Olive Peridot, 08 Pink Topaz(for undereye) and 09 18k Gold(for undereye).

There are a few more colors which I did not pick it up. The colors I did not have are 07 One Carat Diamond(for undereye), 10 Chocolate Citrin, 11 Light Brown Amber, 12 Olive Jade. Probably I would buy the rest of the colors in the future.

FYI, 09 18K Gold, 10 Chocolate Citrin, 11 Light Brown Amber and 12 Olive Jade are the new additional colors in Year 2012. :)

Likes:

- Waterproof!

- Smudge-proof!

- Long-lasting!

- Soft & creamy.
- Glides on smoothly!

- Glittery!

- Pretty colors!

- Can be use as eyeshadow~

- Sharpen-able 

- Easy to remove with makeup removal except for the glitter might be a little stubborn... -_-

Dislikes:

- Yes, it's waterproof BUT... somehow I think it's not sweat-resistant/sweat-proof. FYI, it does smear when I sweat a lot. :(
- Glitter does runs when rub hardly

- Take some time to remove the glitter traces completely despite using makeup removal.

I have a little disappointment with 06. It supposed to be Olive shade however the color looks more like a mixture of brown and black... :( As for 01, it's just an ordinary black eyeliner... So for recommendation, I would highly recommend 02, 03, 04, 05, 08 and 09.

How to sharpen the eyeliner?: 

Just treat the eyeliner like a "normal pencil/color pencil" and use any sharpener to sharpen it. :D

Review: Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner

Recently, I bought a new black eyeliner from Watsons. Before I actually went to the drugstore to make a purchase, I did a small little research about it. Well, as you know...there are a variety of eyeliners out there and some have long lasting, waterproof and smudge-proof effect while some don't. While some claimed that it's long-lasting, waterproof and smudge-proof however, it's not that effective! Choosing an eyeliner, 1)long-lasting, 2)waterproof , 3)smudge-proof and 4)does apply smoothly are very important okay! *laughs*

For me, I prefer using pencil/crayon eyeliner instead of those liquid and gel eyeliner. Anyway, as I've said, I did a small little research on the eyeliner that I was interested in before making a purchase. Ya? I was really afraid that I wasted my money on buying eyeliner that lack of those 4 points I've mentioned above.
I was using Maybelline Unstoppable Eyeliner previously and it sucks! It claimed that it's smudge-proof however it's DOES smudge! (≧д≦) In the official website, it also claimed that it's waterproof but I don't think it is. Well, I had bad experience using it. Maybe it just doesn't suit me... Therefore, I decided to repurchase a "better" eyeliner from the drugstore~ And I'm smarter this time(laughs!), I did the research before heading down to the drugstore. Yea yeaaa... (*＾д＾*)v  

By the way, the eyeliner I bought was from Revlon, ColorStay! ↴

There are lots of good reviews regarding to this eyeliner...so I bought it. *laughs nervously* I haven't get to try it out on my eyes yet but I tested it out on the back of my hand and rub it with my finger. It does apply smoothly without the tug and pull kind of thing... It glides on really realllly smoothly and doesn't smudge! *thumbs-up* I ran it under the tap and rubbed at it and it still stays intact! So yea, it's definitely water-resistant. Based on this 'experiment', I think that this is a really awesome drugstore eyeliner~☆

For those of you who want your eyeliner to be sharp all the time, ............

Guess what? there's a sharpener at the back of the eyeliner! You can refine the tip using the sharpener whenever you want! Ermmm...information that I read online.......some people said that the sharpener doesn't work. LOL! Have no idea about the sharpener stuff cause I haven't use it yet! (｀_´)ゞ

So......, that's my short review on Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner. Hope you(readers) find it useful~ (´^з･)ﾉ

- pigmented
- easy to wash off using makeup remover
- the sharpener! (yes, it does work for me. :D)
- the lasting power beats Maybelline Unstoppable Eyeliner.
- does not smudge (unless you rub your eyes)


Dislikes:
- not sweat resistant... it does smear when I sweat...
