| Make a batch of fun and longlasting homemade Play Dough with a few simple ingredients from your pantry! |

| You will need all purpose flour, salt, vegetable oil, cream of tartar, food coloring and water |

| 1) To 1 cup of flour 2) add 1/2 cup of salt. |

| 3) Add 2 tsp cream of tartar |

| 4) Mix dry ingredients well. |

| 5) Measure 1 Tbsp of vegetable oil |

| 6) Add oil to 1 cup of water |

| 7) Stir water/oil mixture into dry ingredients. Blend well |

| 8) Add food coloring. I prefer paste as the colors are more intense. |

| 9) Blend thoroughly. You can add 1 tsp vanilla extract or other, such as lemon, almond, cherry for a wonderful scent. |

| 10) Stir constantly over low heat until dough thickens up. Note ~ dough will be difficult to stir. |

| 11) Remove from heat and knead for approximately 5 minutes. Dough should be smooth when done. |

| Each recipe makes approximately 3 portions the size of a commercial playdough jar. |

| Store in an airtight container or bag. It will keep for months when stored properly. |
